Crafting Intangibles Rabari
Crafting Intangibles Rabari an homage to the Khelvani stitch, an indigenously sustainable stitch used to join pieces of fabric together. The stitch also was traditionally improvised upon by changing colors of the thread if one color got over. This concept has been used to use stump-like sections of color, interspersed with a red as an accent. This piece has gone through 11 pairs of artist hands to look like this. This is then taken up a notch, by Anuvad’s proprietary circuit to convert this already intricate piece into a wonder of art and tech. The piece plays tunes of a sarangi when touched, allowing you to transport yourself to a Kutchi wonderland. Complete with a speaker and other custom tech, this piece works with a USB C charger. Just plug it in and watch yourself stand in the middle of the white Rann of Kutch.
